The father of one of the crew member aboard the crashed Egypt Air plane, Ezz El Din Safwat said he has lost hope his daughter is still alive.
“I have no hopes, the hopes are gone. I hope she is considered a martyr and God be with us and with the families of all those affected by the plane. I hope we follow her to heaven,” he said.
An Egyptian flight MS804 with 66 passengers on-board got missing from the radar last week a few minutes after take-off. The plane was flying from Paris to Cairo.
Din said he knows his daughter has gone to meet with the Lord.
“Today they were taking samples from the families of the victims. So far, I do not know what happened or if they found anything. They took samples from the families to analyze the DNA in case they find someone they could find a match and know who the person is,” he added.
French authorities had confirmed that smoke detectors went off aboard the flight a few minutes before it crashed but said it was not clear what caused the smoke or fire.

However, authorities have dismissed theories that the pilot Mohamed Saeed Shokair or the copilot brought the aircraft down intentionally.
They said Shokair was a a respected veteran with more that 6,000 hours of flying time under his belt.
